No more ice!
If you are located in the fridged north where the cold goes straight down to the bone, these are the automatic Ritchie Waterers for you!
The following units are all heated with electricity and designed with energy efficiency in mind. They are durable, dependable and will keep your water flowing during the winter months.
The Omni Founts, Cattle Founts and Eco Founts are a combination of poly foam filled frames and 304 grade stainless steel troughs. With the adjustable thermostatically controlled heating elements securely mounted to the bottom of the trough, the entire stainless pan is kept warm, eliminating any ice from forming - keeping the water open and available to your livestock.

Ritchie Industries is pleased to announce the launch of the Omni 10 waterer, which joins the popular line-up of OmniFounts. Customers have long requested a new, large capacity waterer since the popular Cattle Fountain 10 was phased out in 2005.
The newest unit features an all-around drinking area. Like other members of the OmniFount family, it has a 304 stainless steel trough with heat elements attached to the underside for excellent frost-free service under the most severe winter conditions. The body of the Omni 10 is made from Ritchie’s heavy-duty polyethylene construction. The fountain is insulated with highly energy efficient polyurethane foam, providing at least an R-value of 14.
Its large trough, which holds 28 gallons of water, has an animal capacity of 275 head of cattle and 135 head of dairy.
The best of both worlds, Omni Fount blends technology from both our traditional stainless steel units and our newest poly units to provide the premier livestock fountain. Omni's stainless steel trough features heat elements attached to the underside for frost free service even under the most severe winter conditions. The trough carries a 10 year 100% warranty against manufacturing defect or corrosion.
The body of the Omni Fount is made from our heavy-duty polyethylene construction, fully insulated with polyurethane foam, providing an R-factor of 7 per inch. This makes it highly energy efficient. In fact, it is so energy efficient, some power companies offer rebates on the purchase of this fountain. (check with your local power provider regarding these rebates) Like all our poly products, the Omni Fount body carries a five + five warranty, five years 100%, five years prorated against manufacturing defect.
The Omni Founts are the most popular units we sell, do to the design and energy efficiency of the units there is not another unit available anywhere that can compete with its heating capabilities and durability. With the poly exterior it makes it more energy efficient that the all steel Cattle Founts and more durable because it will not corrode or dent.

We have taken all of the best features of our classic waterers, combined them with customer, distributor and dealer input, and designed a premium line of automatic waterers, the EcoFount series. The EcoFount 1 and EcoFount 2 are the newest, most energy efficient, electric standard heated line of Ritchie automatic waterers. They will provide the same reliability during the most extreme winters as our OmniFount series. The flip top cover design will allow for easy cleaning and maintenance and the fully insulated casing will provide excellent protection against the coldest winters.
The EcoFounts are not soley designed for horses. Since there inception a short time ago, they have been installed in feedlots, calf barns and specialty sheds as an economically friendly heated waterer.

The new generation of CattleMaster fountains provide the best of both worlds: blending technology from traditional stainless steel units and the newest poly units, to provide a premier livestock fountain. They feature the same reliable heating features as previous CattleMaster models and have a refill rate of 20 gallons per minute at 50 psi.
The casings of the CattleMaster 480, 840, 1440 are made from Ritchie's heavy-duty, impact resistant polyethylene construction. The roto-molded construction is heavily insulated for energy efficiency and employes UV inhibitors for extended life.
The CattleMaster fountains can be found in large feed lots where there are a large number of head. The are also used in rare occassions in freestall barns that have open doors on the ends or are consistantly very cold during the winter months.

Sometimes referred to as the "CD-50" which is actually the powder coat finish but was listed on the 3E and 5E years ago, these are some of the oldest models in our line-up. Although there are many of these two units still in service today as old as 40+ years please take a look at the Omni Founts as an alternative, as they are more durable and energy efficient than these two. The 3E and 5E are the only units in our lineup that have the ability of optional gas heat. Contact us for more details regarding that.
Many of the AC Series can be found in pastures, horse paddocks, barns and feedlots all over the midwest. These were some of the most popular units sold until the inception of the Omni Founts not to long ago. Even though they are still great units and quite popular if you are looking at doing a new installation, make sure you take a look at the Omni Founts as well.
Ideal for a small number of cows, calves, horses, sheep, goats, and exotics in small pens inside and out. The 1AC is a single-lot design, while the 2AC works for box stalls, small lots, and fence lines. The 2AC Special offers the same features at a shorter height.

An original Omni 500. Many improvements have been made to the Omni line since 1996, all of which have made them easier to clean and maintain.
This page is dedicated to the automatic waterers that we recommend be installed in the cold climates of the midwestern United States. We strongly believe that these are the best units available if you are looking for a durable and dependable automatic waterer to be installed out in a field, pasture, paddock or any where else outside the confines of a building.
